Lecturer in the School of Computing and Communications, Open University
I am principally a lecturer in human-computer interaction (HCI). My research interests are motivated by wanting to understand how we can best design technology to fit within, and where necessary change, peoples' practices and behaviour. I have worked on projects around social communication, haptic technology, education for children with dyslexia and large-scale community innovation projects in the context of Smart Cities.
